Lucy from Kent was one of our Baby Show competition winners and I absolutely love the pictures she sent me from her experience. They told a story about her whole day; from arriving early, getting advice from experts, face painting and how tired the family were by the end of the day! Over to you Lucy………
We arrived early to the Baby Show at the Excel as I’d printed off a voucher for a free swaddle blanket if one of the first 10 visitors to one of the stalls. I had the children booked into the crèche for the 09:30 slot so whilst we waited, I spoke to a few stall holders from Bambino Mio & Splash About. The only disappointing thing was that there was no baby food provided this year due to the sponsor pulling out last minute. This left many parents confused as it was advertised as being provided, yet there was no mention of it on the website or facebook to warn visitors to the show.
There were lots of fab offers. I was tempted by the price of the flip nappies on the bum genius stall, but an expense I cannot justify at the moment. Many stalls were offering 10% off and some more. The fisher price stand had a huge baby rocker that adults could sit in! Great competitions on various stalls & even a stall to help Mums who want to work for themselves or who have started up & maybe need some support! I chatted with various stall holders and they were all very friendly.
Awwww look at Lucy’s daughter by the end of the day! Totally knocked out, mummy mission complete!
